An author of numerous articles and frequent speaker, Bob is a 1992 graduate of the New York University School of Law (LL.M. in Taxation), a 1991 graduate of Gonzaga University School of Law (J.D.), and a 1987 graduate of the University of Alaska, Anchorage (Justice and Journalism). Bob is admitted to practice law in California, Oregon, and Washington, and before the United States Tax Court.
Bob’s 25 years of practice have involved him in a full array of business and tax law issues and projects. His clients have ranged from small, closely-held businesses to Fortune 500 companies. His practice covers the full life cycle of business – from counseling clients on the tax and legal issues inherent in the various forms of doing business (LLC, partnership, S or C corporation, etc.), to the post-formation operational needs of his clients, to restructuring of business enterprises or their eventual sales. In addition to his general business law background, Bob’s tax law education and experience afford his clients an extra layer of protection in an area which permeates almost all business decision-making.

Born in Ketchikan, Alaska, Bob has an acute appreciation and respect for the outdoors, and enjoys skiing, snow camping, snow shoeing, mountain and road biking, backpacking and hiking. A veteran, Bob was honorably discharged after two years of service in the United States Army as a radio broadcaster and photojournalist, with assignments inside and outside the United States.
